Walking through the Zaostrog Old Village, you can almost feel something indigenous. However, its recent revival is a striking contrast to its image in the early 1960s, when it was completely abandoned. The people who left it then were mostly local peasants and the people who walk its streets today are world travelers. Between the two, there is a gap to be bridged.
